About
KINABALU FLUTE CENTRE is the only place in Kota Kinabalu that specialises in classical flute lessons. We teach students from age 5 and up and at ALL levels!
Kinabalu Flute Centre was founded by KENNETH CHIA, a professional flute artist- lecturer from New York, U.S.A, who has a passion for teaching flute and sharing the wonderful world of this beautiful instrument.
Kenneth lives in Kota Kinabalu together with his Sabahan wife.

Kenneth has over 25 years of experience teaching the art of the flute to students from as young as 5 to as old as 77.
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Master's Degree in Music from Indiana University, both degrees in Western Classical Music Flute Performance.
While studying flute in New York, Pittsburgh, and Bloomington, he had the opportunity to study with many renowned flutists, most notably Laurel- Ann Maurer, Julius Baker, and Thomas Robertello.
